Nancy L. McGinnis has been singing since she was nine years old. She used a stool to reach the microphone when she sang at church at a young age. Later at about ten she began taking piano lessons. But it was the drums that Nancy most enjoyed. She played with a little family band, and then started gigging in high schools and weddings, parties and other events. Her father would drive her and her brother around town, since they couldn’t themselves drive yet. The family band split up and Nancy moved on to work with other groups. She began writing music when she was about 19. Her first song, “No One Can Know” was about two senior citizens she saw waiting for a bus. It spoke to the love, so evident that they both felt. Since then Nancy has written countless songs.

Her new CD "SEEK TO FOLLOW" is now available on cd baby, Amazon, itunes and more. The CD is a labor of love. It took six years to complete. While working on the project, Nancy went to Law School, while holding down a full-time position. Only angels could have seen this through. For this Nancy is eternally grateful. Nancy wants to thank all the musicians, producers, engineers and miscellaneous wonderful folks, who made this CD possible. In particular, a special thanks to BRUCE TAMBLING, Suspect Studios and ED GOLDFARB, Madcap Labs who brought my visions to life in each piece of this compilation. Nancy was born in San Jose, California her parents Robert and Pauline still live in the family home. Nancy dedicated her CD - SEEK TO FOLLOW to her parents. Thank you Phil Wartena photographer par excellance!!!

MESSAGE FOR OUR FANS: 5/12/2009
Thank you so much for checking out my NOISY PLANET page. You rock. Available now is my SEEK TO FOLLOW cd. You can also check out my newest CD - NO WORDS. The songs, with no vocal are quite different from most of my work. Dawn, Noon and Midnight were recorded on April 28, 2009 at Fantasy Studios. Engineered by Jesse Nichols. The simplicity was exactly where I wanted to go. I hope you find peace through them.
